To Elaine, David and Ken's fine family.
My deepest sympathy on the unfortunately much-too-early passing of your husband, brother, beloved family member who was one of the greatest guys of all time.
It says here and all around Rhode Island, I'm sure, that the passing of Ken Souza has left a huge void in everyone's heart. I personally have met lots of people in my 40 years of news pappering, none quite as great though, as Ken Souza.
His smile was constant and his heart was as huge as a full moon. Personally speaking, my life was enriched tremendously by the time(s) I enjoyed with Ken Souza, who not only anchored first base for the ri76 Seniors, he was indeed a cornerstone and model citizens and countless numbers of people respected -- and more imporantly -- loved.
May God Bless you and yours in this time of his tragic passing. His memory will live with me -- forever!

Dear Elaine,
I worked with Ken for many years at MHRH. He also was a friend to my husband, Tony, at Dunkin' Donuts. He was such a kind, sweet, funny man. Always smiling. It was a joy working with him. I remember years ago for Christmas at MHRH he would dress up as Santa Claus. Many fond memories. May he rest in peace with no more pain and may God watch over you and your family and give you strength at this difficult time.
You have my Deepest Sympathy

Elaine, my condolences to you and your sweet daughters. I have the fondest of memories of Ken working with my Dad particularly around tax season. He taught my Dad so much. At times, I think I saw more of him than I saw of Donna when we both attended Bay View! May you find peace in knowing that Ken is no longer suffering and find comfort in the arms of our Heavenly Father. My deepest condolences.

I remember spending my first Christmas in this country with the Souzas in 1990. Their hospitality and warmth has remained with me through the years. Mr. and Mrs. Souza gave up their room so my sister and I could be comfortable. Now, who does that, considering we were friends of their daughters? I will always cherish warm memories of the kindness and sweetness of Mr. Souza and his wonderful family.

November 25, 2012

My thoughts are with the Souza family and I have many fond memories of this good man.

Worked with Ken at MHRH and could not find a nicer, kinder, energetic or more talented person than the smiling Mr. Souza.

Sad to see his passing and sincere sympathy to his family and friends.

Warmest regards,

Tom Romeo
