Louis Squillante Obituary

SQUILLANTE, LOUIS A. 91, passed away at home Tuesday May 20, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Cora (Tarantino) Squillante. Born in Providence, a son of the late Pasquale and Giuseppina (Voccio). Mr. Squillante was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the South Pacific. He was a jewelry worker at Ideal Plating before retiring. He was a communicant of the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul where he served as a Deacon for many years. Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by four children: son Pasquale A. Squillante and his wife, Maryellen; son Louis A. Squillante and wife, Lois; daughter Patricia Andrade and husband, Richard and daughter Marie Lamb. Grandfather of five and great-grandfather of three. He was the brother of the late Henry, Emilio and Matteo Squillante, Mary Giordano, Philomena Castriotta, Carolyn Miccolis and Anna Cardone. His funeral is Saturday at 9 a.m. from "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, 30 Fenner Street, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. CALLING HOURS Friday 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence 02904. Online condolences: WoodlawnGattone.com
