Luigi Russo Obituary

RUSSO, 'LOUIE' LUIGI, 91, of Cranston, died on Tuesday May 6, 2008, at Kent County Hospital, Warwick. He was the husband of the late Mary (DePetrillo) Russo. They had been married for 57 years.

Born in North Providence he was a son of the late Saverio and Filomena (Rainone) Russo. He was the step-son of the late Costanzo Iozzi Sr.

Louie was the President of Beaucraft Inc. for over 55 years. He was an endowed scholarship donor for Providence College, an original member of the Alpine Country Club of Cranston, a member of the Tri-City Elks, the YMCA Businessman's Club and a communicant of the Church of St. Mark, Cranston.

Mr. Russo is survived by two sisters: Della (Iozzi) Almeida of Cranston, Connie (Iozzi) Minadeo of Providence, two brothers: Saverio 'Sam' Russo of Providence and Costanzo 'Chris' Iozzi of Cranston. He was also the brother of the late Margaret (Russo) Russo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00am in the Church of St. Mark, Garden City Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visit www.nardolillo.com for information and online condolences.
