Margaret McLacken Obituary

McLACKEN, MARGARET M. 96, formerly of Pawtucket died Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Miss McLacken was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Eugene McLacken and Susan (Kelley) McLacken. She was the personal secretary for former Pawtucket Mayor Charles Reynolds. Miss McLacken then worked for Vincent "Buddy" Cianci in Providence for many years. She enjoyed her stay in politics spending time in Washington DC and Rhode Island while serving John Chafee, Herbert DeSimonne and others Margaret is survived by her nephews Michael Mclacken and his wife Susan of Cumberland, John McLacken and his wife Christine of East Providence, and Ronald McLacken and his wife Barbara of Cumberland. She is also survived by her niece Susan Boroskas and her husband Michael of Manchester, NH and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edward's Church, Weeden Street, Pawtucket. Her burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. We are so sorry to hear the passing of your Aunt Maggie. May you never forget the happy times spent with her and always cherish the good memories to help you through your time of grief.

I will always remember how beautiful and positive Maggie was. She was always smiling and I loved listening to her wonderful stories about her different jobs in Politics throughout her life. I will miss her.
