Mark - as we embark on a new softball season, we are reminded of how much your presence is missed behind home plate. We always looked forward to seeing you and praying with you before and after the games. You are missed brother! All the guys on Living Hope Christian Church Softball Team are sending love up to you.

I am so grateful we got to connect through Facebook after so many years apart. You and I were such close cousins growing up and only 6 months apart in age. We spoke of how far we had come and how grateful we were for our families and our kids. My heart breaks that we did not get to spend time together and you were always such a special friend and cousin. My deepest condolences to your loved ones down in Rhode Island. Rest with the angels.

Mark,

The Living Hope Christian Church softball team, as part of the Rhode Island Christian Athletic Association, always looked forward to seeing you on the field.

We play a game - you officiated a game - but we all know it was about a lot more than a game - it was about the human interaction and exchange - and you my friend - you were an incredibly wonderful human being to know.

I recall several times praying over you as you courageously endured your battle with cancer.

Over my fifteen years of playing - there was never a bad game with you calling it. Win or lose - it was more about friends competing and socializing and supporting and praying - you appreciated that and enjoyed in that circle of comradery...

Know that you will be missed. Your professionalism, knowledge of the game, precision in calling the games - but more than anything else, your friendship will be greatly missed.

Know that we will be praying for you, your family and for the countless lives you have impacted who for certain are feeling a tremendous void in their lives with your passing.

Rest easy Mark.

With you,

Alex MacLeod

Mark,

The men of the Living Hope Christian Church softball team, as part of the Rhode Island Christian Athletic Association, always looked forward to seeing you on the field. We play a game - you officiate the game - but it went much deeper than that. I recall a few times we prayed over you as you endured your battle with cancer.
There was never a bad game with you - win or lose - because it was about much more than a game. It was about the human interaction - and our faith - and my friend, you are a great human being. Brother, our prayers are with you and your family and all those who you have impacted who I'm sure are feeling a huge void in their lives now that you have been called away.

With you,

Alex MacLeod
