Mary Geremia Obituary
Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Esther (Manfredi) Ferrante.
Mrs. Geremia was a textile spinner for many years before retiring. She was also a member of the Hope Council Senior Center and a communicant of St. Bartholomew's Church.
She was the loving mother of Sylvia Stickland and her husband Herbert of Lincoln, Anthony Geremia and his wife Beverly of No. Providence, and the late Frances D'Agostino; sister of Louise Colello and the late Daniel, Vincent, Anthony, and William Ferrante, Antonette Lato, Anna Pennacchia, and Margaret Townsend; grandmother of Karen Dougherty, Michael and Kevin Geremia, and the late John R. Dougherty; great grandmother of Macaila and Anthony.
VISITATION TUESDAY 4-8 PM. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Bartholomew's Church, Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Mary was a sweet, warm, generous person who always made me feel at home when I visited her with her special grandaughter, Karen.
Her meals were delicious and she always hugged me goodbye.
May she rest in peace.

Mary was a great lady. She was the guardian of Moorefield St. The old place isn't going to be the same with out her. Growing up she was always there to greet me with a warm smile and a hello. I'll always treasure my memories of Mary, her husband Joe and growing up in such a special place!
