Dear Dad,

Words cannot say what it meant to me to have you for a father. That's why I feel so deeply sad today.

A great man leaves a great legacy. The world will continue to know you through all of the lives you impacted. The world will know you through me.

Sometimes I watch my own child playing-Age 4 now Dad, can you believe it?- I see her through your eyes; I again experience the unconditional love you gave me.

The love cannot die.

I will remember you.

Happy Father's Day!
Love you forever,
Cathy

To the Coletti Family:

I had the opportunity to work with Mike at Marieville School and at the High School. If a nicer man there is, I have not met him. Mike was great at everything he did as a phys. ed. teacher and coach. I remember him getting the young students at Marieville so excited with the use of the parachute in gym class. One year I hatched chickens with the 7th grade class, and of course the chicks got too big to keep in school. Mr. Coletti was asked by the class if he could take the chickens to the farm, and so he did. As time went on the kids would always ask about the chickens and he would say all is well. We would look at each other for years after and smile about the "long" life of the chickens on the farm. Great memories, God bless you Mike and may your family share great memories of you.

I lived near the Coletti Farm during my childhood and spent many days helping out with the chores where I could. The entire Coletti Family always treated me with kindness! Mike and I enjoyed playing football against each other one on one. We did that one day in his side yard and we hit head on. Mike split my helmet and thank God I have a hard head! I would like to think that I helped Mike become a great football player by being his tackling dummy early in his athletic career:) Many of my childhood memories include the farm! My condolences to the entire Coletti family. RIP Mike!

Our deepest sympathy to Lynda,Cathy,Karen, Steven and families. My husband Don, and I worked with Mike for many years in North Providence. I had the privilege to work with him in the elementary schools, while my husband worked with him for many years as a coach and teacher. We knew him as a kind and wonderful man, teacher and friend. He was always pleasant and showed such caring to his fellow teachers and students. He was a terrific football coach and mentor to his colleagues in the classroom/gym and on the field. He will be missed.
Please know that you are in our prayers during this difficult time.

To...Linda and family and
Claudette and Allen and family
My family and I send our heartfelt sympathy to all of you.
While I never had the pleasure of meeting Michael, I knew of him through Claudette and my dearly departed brother Rick Santos. I know he and my brother played basketball together before my brother joined the PC Friars team. My brother said Michael was a kind and gentle feller who was well liked by all. Claudette always shared stories of Michael and their loving families. I know he would help anyone in need and I know their families were extremely close. I have prayed for Michael and his entire family ever since Claudette informed me of Michael's condition. And I will continue to pray for all family members and ask God to keep good watch over all of you.
I rejoice in knowing my brother probably welcomed Michael up above with a basketball in his hands...I think the heavens just got a whole lot noiser with all that dribbling going on.
RIP Michael....your sweet spirit will live on in all your family members...."they will not forget you, they have carved you on the palms of their hands" (Isaiah 49:25)
PS please giive my brother a big from me. Tell him I miss him so much as I am sure your family is sorely missing you.

Dear Lynda & family

I worked with Mike at Whelan School from 1993 - 2000. I was the secretary then and I must say Mike was a fantastic guy and always had a smile on his face. I'll never forget when he arrived at the administration office and handed me his retirement papers! That year was huge for retirements but I'm so glad that he was able to enjoy his retirement with his family. May he Rest In Peace.
