To the Cortellessa Family,

We were very sad to hear of your loss. Mike was a great guy and well respected. We first met Mike when he became Scout Leader at St. Timothy's. It was an honor to know him.

My son became an Eagle Scout under his tutelage and I know he will be saddened when he hears of his death. He is currently in Georgia for the Air National Guard.

Condolences from the Izbicki Family,

I am deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing. After some very memorable times we shared as crazy high school students together at Warwick Vets in the 70's, we became reacquainted as fellow Marines at MCAS Cherry Point in the 80's. Mike was a beloved scoutmaster and mentor to my nephew, who passed away tragically in 1989. His honor and character were second to none. I will miss him very much. My heart-felt prayers go out to the family of a fine Marine, a great scout leader and a very good friend.
