Dr. Morris Ducoff

DUCOFF, DR. MORRIS 'DUKE', 91, died Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lillian (Gerson) Ducoff.

Born in Union City, NJ, the son of the late Max and Rebecca (Brodsky) Ducoff, he had been a resident of Epoch of the East Side, Providence for 3 years, previously residing in Teaneck, NJ and Pembroke Pines, FL. 'Duke' as he was affectionately known to all, was a graduate of NYU and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry. Following his service in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 - 1946, he practiced dentistry in Union City and Teaneck, NJ until 1978. He was a member of Temple Beth-El and an avid sports fan.

Proud father of Dr. Robert J. Ducoff and his wife, Diane, of Providence and Richard B. Ducoff of Plantation, FL. Loving grandfather of Michelle Miller and her husband, Andrew, of Pawtucket, Patti Albert and her husband, Benjamin, of West Hartford, CT and Lynn Belkin and her husband, Matthew, of Brooklyn, NY. Cherished great grandfather of Sydney and Adam Miller and Ysabel Albert.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in TEMPLE BETH-EL. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Frances and David Friedman Fund, Temple Beth-El, 70 Orchard Ave., Providence, RI 02906 or Hadassah, 1150 New London Ave., Cranston, RI 02920. Shiva will be observed at the home of Robert and Diane Ducoff, 75 Loring Ave., Providence, Sunday 7-9 and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Arrangements by SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston.
