Nicholas Croce Jr.

CROCE, NICHOLAS JR., 74 peacefully passed away on the morning of May 27th. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Nicola and Angelina (Cammisa) Croce. Nick lived in Johnston for 74 years. He was the devoted husband of Marie (Lepore) Croce for 50 years. Nick leaves two children both of Johnston, RI. Nicholas Croce III and his wife Lori; Nadine O'Connor and her husband Eric. He leaves behind four grandchildren; Nicholas IV, Olivia, Eric and Hanna. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and two very special nieces Jennifer (Ferro) Zarrella and Julie (Ferro) Pirri both of Cranston. Nick was the epitome of a "True Gentleman", his pride and joy was his family. Nick was most happy when he could fix a household problem for a friend or family member. As it was said ten years ago at his retirement farewell from the Cardi Construction Corp. for which he worked as a Bridge Superintendent for twenty eight years "there is no place you can go in RI, CT or MA, and not fine tangible efforts of Nick Croce as a bridge builder". He was a retired member of local 94 Carpenters Union and a communicant of St. Rocco's Church. His funeral is Tuesday at 9:45 am. from "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. in St. Rocco's Church, Johnston.
