RAFFIE NAJARIAN Obituary
Born in Pawtucket, he was the devoted son of the late Melkon and Satenig (Soursourian) Najarian.
Raffie was a machine operator and worked at the former Potter & Johnston Machine Company in Pawtucket for many years and later at Cumberland Engineering before retiring. He was an active member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church of Providence where he served on the Parish Council and was a member of the Diocesan Council for over 20 years. He was the recipient of the St. Nerses Shunorhali Medal; a member of the A.C.Y.O.A. and Husenig Foundation. He was a member of Jenks Lodge #24 F. & A.M. and was a 32 degree mason, Valley of Providence Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite.
He was the dear brother of Askanaz Najarian of Pawtucket and the late Paul and Samuel Najarian; loving uncle of Richard Najarian and his wife Loretta, Paula Najarian and her husband Mathias Wilkinson, Cynthia Samoorian and her husband Vernon, Janice Kavjian and her husband Andrew, Mark Najarian and the late Malcolm Najarian, Esq. and his wife Mary Frances; and loving great-uncle of Sarah, Caitlin and Matthew Wilkinson, Stephen Najarian and the late David Najarian, Marisa, Vernon M. and Meredith Samoorian, Amanda and Mary Kavjian and Gregory Najarian.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Sunday 2-6 p.m. Interment will be at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence, RI 02908. To the Najarian Family:
Greg and I were deeply saddened to hear about Raffi unexpected passing.
I will miss his holiday phone calls to make sure Greg and I were OK and if we needed anything.
He was the kindest man. He worried about his family and friends, never about himself.
He is with the our family now and still watching over all of us.
He will be missed tremendously.

So sad to hear of Raffie's passing. He was such a gracious man and a role model for those of us in our church family.

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Ralph's passing. He seemed always to have a twinkle in his eye and a ready laugh. Janice, I know you will miss him. May your many warm memories sustain you and comfort you.
