Raymond Zanfagna Obituary

ZANFAGNA, RAYMOND EDWIN, 85, of Florida Ave., Cranston passed away Monday, June 19, 2006 at Roger Williams Hospital Providence. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Mafalda 'Muffy' (Santurri) Zanfagna.

He was born in Cranston the son of the late Michael and Marianna (D'Arezzo) Zanfagna. Mr. Zanfagna was the owner and operator of M. Zanfagna and Sons Landscaping for 60 years. He was a WWII Army Veteran who enjoyed playing football and hockey and was an avid fan. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving daughter, Maryanne Zanfagna of Cranston, his devoted sister, Marion Fullhart of Cranston, his cherished grandchildren, Matthew Raymond Zanfagna, Joseph Micheal Zanfagna both of Cranston, and he was also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Emelio, Arthur, Albert, Edmond Zanfagna, Linda Damiani, Alba DeFusco, Rose Osborne and Gertrude Conneely. His funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston St., Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday 4-8 p.m.
