Oh, Marie! I wanted to send you a Christmas card and in searching for your address I found that you had lost Dick just days ago. I am beaming you my love and sympathies. We had such good times together in the Wellesley Slide Room so many years ago. I am still at Wellesley. Please write if you feel up to it. I would love to hear your voice. Susan and Jim would like to be in touch too. Love, Becky

I was deeply saddened to learn of Dick's passing. My sincerest condolences to Marie and his family. It was my privilege and pleasure to care for Dick in a small way during his prolonged illness. But, more importantly, it was my good fortune to know him and Marie as friends. Dick had a great sense of humor and an ever present wry smile and wisecrack! He could be a bit feisty at times but Marie was always able to rein him in! He loved telling stories and I always wished I had more time to spend with him than a brief office visit. I will really miss him. But I will raise a glass of J Lohr to his friendship and his memory. Rest in peace, my friend! Dr Lally
