To the family of Fr. Donnelly:
He was by far the most faithful priest I have ever known! Whether you are a conservative, moderate, or liberal Catholic you just have to realize that Fr. Donnelly was true to the Church and her teachings never swaying from the truth. He will remain in my heart til I die. My prayers are with the Donnelly family at this time.
Keep Smiling!

I met Fr. Donnelly when I was 14 years old. I worked at St. Paul's Rectory in Cranston with my mother, Joanie Smith. Fr. Donnelly was truly the epitomy of what a priest is. God bless him.

Father Donnelly was my Religion teacher at LaSalle Academy. I always admired him for his crisp way of doing business and his ramrod straight stature. A good man as well as a good teacher. God Bless him and his travels from here!

Condolences to his family members. I had met him when I was a child when my Aunt had taken me with her to mass when he was at St. Clement's. When I first joined St. Mark's, he was the pastor, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out the pastor was someone that I already knew. He was a wonderful person and will be dearly missed as well as fondly remembered.

Dear Fr. Donnelly Family,
I recall serving as an acolyte at St. Paul's Church in Cranston while Fr. Donnelly was there. I would not to fail to visit with him when I made trips to RI after moving to CA. in 1975. I was ordained to the priesthood with the Conventual Franciscans in 1990, and he was very supportive. He was a good and kind man. God bless you all in your loss.

One of our best! Committed, devoted, learned- all with a sharp wit, Dick Donnelly was a treasure and gift to this Diocese of Providence. May God receive his priestly soul into the eternal peace he so energetically earned. Holy Mass will be offered for Richard and all of you who mourn his passing. God bless you. Fr. Joe Protano
