Richard Dutko Obituary

DUTKO, RICHARD A. SR., 61, of Johnston, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Jane (Conti) Dutko. Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Petry) Dutko. Before moving to Rhode Island twenty years ago, he traveled the world extensively.

Richard owned and operated Down to Earth Landscaping. He had previously worked for Bethlehem Steel and American Steel in Pennsylvania and was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was also a football and baseball fan and loved to spend time with his family. He was a loving husband and a devoted father.

Besides his wife he leaves a son, Richard A. Dutko, Jr.; three brothers, Charles, Ronnie and Stephen Dutko; and his faithful companion, Scooter. He was the brother of the late George Dutko.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Arrangements by MACERONI Funeral Home. www.maceroni.com
