Dear Shaw family,
I'm very sorry for your loss. I knew Dick from my days working at Butler Hospital. We also lived in the same East Providence apartment building during the 1980s, where I would occasionally get together with him for some of impish wisdom.
He was a nice guy that a liked a lot. I will always remember him fondly.

Dick was a special person in the life of my brother and me. There was no better friend and mentor. We will miss him deeply and offer our heartfelt condolences to the friends and family he leaves behind.

What a wonderful manhe was, and a pleasure to have met him and sopent times with himat many gatherings. He will always be remembered for his kindness, witt and the most sparkling blue eyes ever. To all of us who had Dick in our lives we are the fortunate ones!
