Richie and I first became friends in 1946 when he was 4 and I was 6 and we remained the very best of friends throughout our grade school and high school years I lost contact with him somewhere in the mid 1960's and often times thought to try to reconnect. And today, exactly two years following his passing I made a determined effort to find him .. did not expect these results. If any of his family should see this please contact me at [email protected]

I raced to Bermuda about six times with Richie, and one memorable December sail from Bermuda to St. Maarten. Richie was a great shipmate, and his wonderful smile is captured in just about every picture. He was a mentor in many ways, and a true friend with perfect advice when I was preparing to undergo heart surgery three years ago. I will miss him. My sincerest condolences to the family.

How we miss Richie in our extended family! It is WEDDINGS that bring him back most vividly --the one hat joined his child and ours, Scott and Ilsa, and the wonderful Jewish custom of both the bride and groom escorted by both joyous parents, the horah and chair dance! Wendy's beautiful wedding and reception in their own "back yard" and Deborah's with Richie still going strong and getting' down despite his first diagnosis! What a man!

I will miss Rich, we liked to have a beer together and talk about our wonderful grandchildren. We told stories about them. I hurt with his loss, and feel the pain with the rest of the family. He was a wonderful person and friend. I'll miss his smile, but I do see it in his grandchildren.

Richie and I became friends while I was working with him on 3 of his boats. At one point I became seriously ill and he got involved and became instrumental in saving my life with his incredible knowledge of medicine and the medical system. I will never forget him and myself and my family will never forget his kindness.

My deepest sympathy to the Shulman Family. When I was 32 years old and after having been misdiagnosed resulting in a heart attack, I meet Dr. Shulman. Dr. Shulman saved my life, with his knowledge, skill and kindness. I will never forget him, he was one of a kind. When he left his Providence office I was devastated, however I had heard he was doing well and very happy in his new life. I will miss him. My deep regrets to a wonderful Dr. and Human Being,
Most sincerely,

To the Family and Friends of Dr. Shulman,
I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Shulamn in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Charlton Hospital. He was a very generous man even taking the staff out on his boat for an excursion. We had fun with him in the Cath Lab yet he always maintained a professionalism towards the Patient and Staff. He will sadly be missed. Cindy Forbes
