Robert Cote Obituary

COTE, GySgt USMC, (Ret), ROBERT
86, formerly of Johnston, RI passed away on June 29, 2017 in Bradenton, FL. He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Bastianelli) Cote. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Albert and Aldea Cote of Johnston. Robert was a decorated Marine veteran of 20 years, most notably during the Korean War as a menber of the famous Chosin Few. After retirement he was employed at the Outlet Co. Besides his wife of 62 years, he is survived by his sons Mark, David and Kenneth and his sister Lorraine Wells.

As youth, I looked up to Bob. I wanted to join the Marines because he represented them so well. He was the consummate Marine. The Country is finally appreciating our Servicemen.

Rest in peace cousin. I will remember everything you stood for the rest of my life.
