Robert Gambardelli Obituary
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Americo and Alice (Alviti) Gambardelli. Mr. Gambardelli was the Director of Maintenance for Carpionato Properties for over 20 years.
He was an
usher at St. Mary's Church and a member of the Holy Name Society. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons: Robert Gambardelli of Cranston, Jason and his wife Melissa Gambardelli of Cranston. Beloved papa of Sabrina. Brother of Vito and David Gambardelli, both of CA, and the late Rico Gambardelli. Son-in-law of Dorothy Gaglione of Cranston. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, on Saturday at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 10:00am. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: St. Mary's School, 85 Chester Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920. My dear friend Arleen and family, I am so saddened to learn of Bob's passing.I am praying that God gives you the strength to get through this most sorrowful time. I pray for Sabrina, to lose her grandfather and have to go through this experience at such a young age. Although I will not be able to make the wake tonight but will be attending the funeral tomorrow please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. If there is anything I can do please, please do not hesitate to call on me. Here is a poem that I found when my dad passed away I hope it gives you some comfort.
When somebody dies, a cloud turns into an angel and flies up to tell God to put another flower on a pillow. A bird gives the message back to the world and sings a silent prayer that makes the rain cry. People disappear but they never really go away. The spirits up there put the sun to bed,wake up grass, and spin the earth in dizzy circles. Sometimes you can see them dancing in a cloud during the day-time, when they're supposed to be sleeping. They paint the rainbows and also the sunsets and make waves splash and tug at the tide. They toss shooting stars and listen to wishes. And when they sing wind songs, they whisper to us, don't miss me too much. The view is nice and I'm just fine.
