Sorry I had not seen this page before, though I knew of Robert´s passing from mutual friend Luci. We shared time at ECC, Pascoag RI when Grace Church Choirboys had one week camp there in the summer following the choir concert that funded that memorable experience.

Valerie Baxter

My name is Valerie (Benson) Baxter, and I am one of the sisters of Bob's East Providence classmate, David Benson. They were in the Chorus at EP, and if I remember correctly, also ran track together. Dave told me that Bob had looked him up some time ago and met the last time Dave was in the States. Bob wanted Dave to know that he had a definite impact on Bob's life and it was important to him to tell Dave about this. What a wonderful gift to give someone. And we all have those people in our lives, but seldom do we have the chance to thank them for their positive effect on us. I have been looking for some way to reach Bob to tell him that Dave passed away on July 22nd, and I wanted Bob to know how much Dave was both surprised and pleased to learn he had been a help to anyone. He is a very humble soul, now peaceful with his return to God. I am so sorry for your loss, and the loss of not being able to let Bob know, but I guess that Dave has been able to tell him himself! Dave had been a wonderful 'big brother' to me, and I will mourn him for the rest of my days here. May God bless you all and know that Bob is a blessed soul himself for blessing someone else.

I remember Bob during our days singing in the Grace Church boys choir, and I was happy to renew acquaintances with him some years later when we attended St. Barnabas Church. Our families enjoyed sharing many great times together, and I will miss his friendship. He is home again with Wendy. I extend my sincere sympathies to Robbie, Amy, and their families. Thank you.
