Ron's loss was a shock and heartbreaking. He had a zest for life that made it a joy to be with him. He will be sorely missed by his many friends. I don't know of any enemies that he had--an epitaph that his family can be proud of.

Dear Carol,

We knew Ron as a terrific and considerate guy. My wife Joan Wallack and I send our heartfelt condolences. Joan worked with Ron and Bob Santopadre and Scott Mueller in the 'old Child Welfare'Department, back in the early 70's at the Mystic Street Service Center. Many a time I heard enjoyable anecdotes about their days there. God bless Ron and your family. He will be missed.

The world has lost a very sweet man and a "brother" to me. I can't comprehend God's will sometimes when he takes a young man just embarking on retirement and looking forward to enjoying his later years with his wife, Carol, and Diane & Ronnie after the long hard struggle that life doles out. He won't be alone. Auntie Mary (Maria) and my Mom, Ida, will be waiting for him to take care of him. I truly love Ronnie's family and Joe & Sandra and will miss him terribly. Love, Janis

Joey:

I hope you get to see the entries in this guestbook. I can't tell you how much I am really saddened by all of this. He was a good man, a great cousin and brother. He always treated me well. We as a family went thru some very hard times but always found our way on top. Ronnies obituary was a testament to if someone applied themselves in life they could excel in this life no matter how hard their past was. I recall as a kid coming to Tweed street and asking your mother if I could play his drums. He walked in and proceeded to lose his cool, which was understandable the drums were expensive. He said to me "don't you ruin those drums". He let me continue to play and allowed me to come over at times to use them because I'm sure thru it all he saw a young man who had the same interest in drumming as he had and encouraged my playing. We had great times at many weddings in the family and Ronnie was always ready for a good time. When you both were young I was the younger cousin who looked up to both of you and because you both were respected in your neighborhood the name of Ronnie and Joey Dandaneau when mentioned showed a lot of people respected your stature. He will be greatly missed Joe. We lost a friend and a brother and he will never be forgotten. Love you cousin.

My condolences to Ron's family. I couldn't believe the news when I heard about it.

My memories of Ron at work are of a playful and humorous man who was easy to tease with a joke or prank. No one expects such a tragedy to befall an old buddy.

I offer my deepest sympathy to you.
