Rose Gentile Obituary

GENTILE, ROSE MARIE, RN (DeBALSI), 80, of Woodmont Drive, Cranston, died Thursday, July 5, 2007, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Fred Gentile.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Filomena (Pittore) DeBalsi.

Mrs. Gentile was a Nursing Supervisor at RI Hospital for 38 years, before retiring. She is a 1947 graduate of RI Hospital School of Nursing, and received her Masters Degree in Nursing from Boston College in 1960.

She was the devoted mother of Christopher J. Gentile of Cranston; dear sister of Dr. Anthony J. DeBalsi and his wife MaryAnne of Cranston; and loving aunt of ten nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave., Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 4-8 p.m. www.nardolillo.com

Dear Chris-
Sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Certainly she is now walking on "streets of gold" in the presence of our Lord. Hope that the memories of your mother are forever close to your heart and that comfort comes to you during this most difficult time. You will be in our prayers.
