Rose Rocha Obituary
Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late Bento and Antonia (Silva Lopes) Fonseca.
Mrs Rocha is survived by her children; Maria Fatima Barros, John Rocha and Victoria Fortes all of Pawtucket, Jorge Rocha of Virginia Beach, VA, Antonia Rocha, Peter Rocha, Jr, Joana DaGraca all of Providence, Joao Rocha of France and Carlos Rocha of Cape Verde Island. She was the sister of Etalvina Fernandes, Amancia Fonseca both of Cape Verde Island, Joaquim Fonseca of Argentina and the late Joseph Francis and Senhorina Tomar. She leaves 26 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many loved nieces, nephews and family members.
A funeral will be held on Saturday at 9AM from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 99 Camp Street, Providence. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of Nursing Placement, 334 East Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02860

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family in your time of sorrow, from your RI Family in VA. Ms. Rosie was truly one of a kind, she will be greatly missed. She always extended her kindness & generiousity to those she knew and met. I personally will always remember her for her bake goods, she would either make you eat some or take some with you, her favorite words were "eat..eat". I know that God has rewarded her for all of her kindness and has opened his pearly gates to her and now he is enjoying her bake goods, because she is now telling him "eat..eat".
