DEL SESTO, SALVATORE C., 95, of North Providence, died Friday July 6, 2012 at the Elmhurst Extended Care Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Lillian A. (Armeno) Del Sesto. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Louis and Mary (Norcia) Del Sesto. Salvatore was an employee of the US Army, stationed at Providence College, for 25 years. He received his BA in music from Boston University in 1952 and taught music for many years. He was on the Board of Directors for the Fogarty Center and Our Lady of Peace Retreat. He is survived by two sons, David J. Del Sesto and his wife Kathy of Smithfield, and Richard A. Del Sesto and his wife Jennifer of Cranston, a daughter, Lori M. Del Sesto of Providence, four grandchildren, four nieces and nephews, and a sister, Anita Cibelli of Cape Cod, MA. He was the brother of the late Matthew Del Sesto. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:15 10:15 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Ave., Providence. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John E. Fogarty Center, 220 Woonasquatucket Ave., North Providence, RI 02911.
