Stephen Solinger Obituary
78, born in Providence, died on May 11, 2020. Beloved son of Joseph and Sally (Haft) Solinger; Brother of Jeffrey Solinger (Paula), Kohler, WI; Uncle of Dr. Stephanie Solinger (Marijan Kostrun), Rowley, MA; and Great Uncle to Daniel and Tomislav Kostrun.
Stephen reached his fullest potential through the love and support of family, friends and most notably, the developmental programs and residential care provided by the John E. Fogarty Center founded in 1952.
Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, his funeral services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, Providence, RI.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Fogarty Center in memory of Stephen Solinger; John E. Fogarty Center, 220 Woonasquatucket Ave., N. Providence, RI 02911.

Jeff, sorry for your loss. I lived at 106 Homer St and remember as a little kid Steve pointing out every car that drove past...make, model and year. He always had a pipe and a transistor radio listening to the red sox. Also your house and the Rush family next door were my snow shoveling jobs every winter. My mom was a Maine.

Dear Jeff,
I was saddened to hear of Stephen's passing. It was always a joy to be in his presence. I can still picture him sitting at his desk writing and hearing his pronouncements which have no spelling. I was so fond of your mom and dad who treated and were proud of both their son's equally. What a wonderful brother you were. I remember our yearly visits to Twin Oaks for Stephen's annual meeting. I don't think Stephen knew there was any other restaurant. I remember his love of badges and how he wouldn't leave for work without one.
It was my pleasure to oversee his health and a greater pleasure to know his wonderful family. My condolences to you and Paula.
