Timothy Wilcox Obituary

WILCOX, TIMOTHY K. 52, of Carolina, RI, died suddenly on December 1, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Gail E. (Murvine) Wilcox. Born in Westerly, RI, he was the son of Susan E. (Greene) Wilcox of Westerly and the late Louis K. Wilcox III. Tim was a Data Storage Technician for the EMC Corp., working out of the CVS corporate office in Woonsocket at the time of his death. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Reserves. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in the annual Friendly Sons of St. Patrick's golf tournament every year. Besides his wife he will be sadly missed by his children; Jacob C. Wilcox and Mia E. Wilcox. He leaves his two brothers, Michael L. Wilcox and his wife, Linda of Pawcatuck, CT, and Patrick C. Wilcox of Westerly. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Diana M. Murvine of Carolina, RI and several nieces and nephews. The Wilcox Family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 2-5 PM at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, RI. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 15 East Beach Road, Charlestown, RI. Donations in Tim's memory may be made to Special Olympics of Rhode Island, 370 George Washington Highway, Smithfield RI 02917.

I worked with Tim at Imperial Wallpaper for many years. He was the one who trained me when I first started. He was the nicest guy and made the "new job" transition so much easier. My deepest condolences to his family, he will be missed.

I met Tim over 16 years ago when I first started at EMC. He very quickly went from being a co-worker to being a truly great friend, and the best kind of friend you could have. Tim was a very caring and compassionate person who was taken from us far too early, his passing leaves a hole that would be impossible to fill. My heart goes out to Gail, Jacob, and Mia, I know how much Tim loved and adored his family, I wish there were words I could offer to help ease your grief and pain. I will never forget Tim and I know I will continue to fondly think of him often. Rest peacefully my friend, until we see each other again.

Tim - compassionate, magnetic, entertaining, and a hardworking person, who we will all miss dearly. He touched so many people with his kind and patience manner. As my friend I enjoyed spending time with him at work and golfing, especially in charitable tournaments. I am sending my prayers to Gail, Jacob and Mia, and all his extended family. I worked with Tim oh so many years ago, at Imperial Wallpaper. Tim always had a smile on his face and was such a nice guy. I lost track of Tim as we do with so many people we meet and work with but, they never really leave you. I knew Tim through Wayne Kettlety. We played golf together a couple of times a year. I never had a more fun day on the course than when I played with Tim. The laughs never stopped. He will be missed.
