Vartan Baligian Obituary

BALIGIAN, VARTAN W., 98 of Warwick, died July 4, 2008.He was the husband of the late Varsenig (Krikorian) Baligian, born in Armenia the son of the late Hampartsoum and Katoon (Aparkarian) Baligian. He had been a resident of Warwick for over 50 years

A member of St. Sahag & St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church. He was a former member of the parish counsel and a Knight of Vartan and was also a survivor of the Armenian genocide.

He was survived by his children, Sona Stevens of Warwick and her late husband Donald, Ara Baligian and his wife Joan of Troy, NY, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Armen Baligian. Funeral will be private. Donations to St. Sahag & St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 70 Jefferson Street, Providence 02908 will be appreciated. www.boyleandsonfuneralhome.com

What an amazing, long and wonderful life your father experienced. Our sympathy is extended to you all at this time.
