To Jim and Family
My family and I offer our deepest condolences over the tragic loss of your Son/Brother Jason. Jim, I recall from our school days just how popular you were. You literally had a posse following your every move. If Jason was anything like his Dad,(which I'm sure that he was), then he had a striking personality and was a regular on the honor roll list as well as being an outstanding athlete. May his memories be a source of comfort to you and all who knew Jason..

December 6, 2012

Dear Jim and Family,

I had lost a nephew 11 years ago and a day does not go by that I do not think of him. I pray that you find the strength and courage to get through this difficult time and find peace.

Loving thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jason

I remember you in diapers
jumping up to dunk a ball
through the plastic hoop.

Over and over, chasing after shots and going up for more.

I remember your toothless smile as
you grew older. Still running, chasing, tireless
- fascinated with this world…

It is how I picture you now:
leading the charge, armed with a smile.

Jim, Susan and Stephen,
Please know that our family is here for you now and always if you should need us, and even though we know and understand your pain all to well, we still struggle to find words to offer that might provide some solace. Unfortunately, there is little we can do or say to ease your pain, but we can hope and pray that you find comfort and peace in the love of family, friends and even strangers. Our community is a strong one, and the outpouring of love, support and generosity never ceases to amaze me. We know, and are so grateful, that you too are being surrounded by this now. In the days that follow may that strong support hold you tight and carry you forward. Much love and peace to all of you, Ray, Kelly, Brian and Michelle Gibbons.

To the Shilling family....I don't know your family, but I lost a baby granddaughter 9 years ago this month...if the Lord leads you to it He will love you through it..my son's family and I now celebrate the short 2 1/2 years we had her to love...always blessings; never losses. How proud you can be of the joy Jason shared in the few years he was given to you to love...and may you feel his love and joy with you always as St. John Chrysostom said, "THOSE WHOM WE LOVE AND LOSE ARE NO LONGER WHERE THE WERE BEFORE. THEY ARE NOW WHEREVER WE ARE." The Compassionate Friends is a group of folks who have experianced the same losses. Every 2nd Sunday of December, a candle is lit outdoors from 7 to 8 PM in every time zone around the world. A 24 hour celebration of the light of our children's lives! That is this Sunday, the 9th. With my candle for Maddie i will remember your Jason. I hope you will be able to light one for him also this Sunday Comfort,Paryers and Blessings, A friend who cares

Although we haven't seen or talked to each other in a very long time I am reminded of you often. You may remember my nephew Jeremy is named after your father. He will be celebrating his 40th B Day on the 7th. In the Jewish religion it is often the first letter, J used rather than the identicle first name. He is living in NC and the father of two.
Once again, we wish you the best.
