SHAVERTOWN — Roberta Kirshner, of Shavertown, passed away peacefully, with family by her side on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Esther Kaufman Gerstein and was a graduate of Meyers High School. She was a member of Congregation Ohav Zedek; the Jewish Community Center and other civic and religious organizations.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Kirshner and brother, Allan Gerstein.
Roberta is survived by her loving children, Dr. Bruce Kirshner; Dr. Ronald (Trudie) Kirshner; Carla (Frank) Breitman; Dr. Todd (Liz) Kirshner; Dr. Drew (Nikki) Kirshner; Dr. Corey Kirshner; Dr. Rand "Randy" (Andrea) Kirshner; Dr. Merrick "Ricky (Tammy) Kirshner; 20 grandchildren and sister, Marcia (Bob) Fleischman, nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID, a private family graveside funeral service was held in Ohav Zedek Cemetery, with Rabbi Dovid Kaplan officiating.
