SWOYERSVILLE — Salvatore "Sam" Mullay, 100, of Swoyersville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at Timber Ridge Health Care, Wilkes Barre, where he had been a guest.
Born in Swoyersville on July 5, 1915, a son of the late Charles and Felicia Mullay, Sam was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.
Prior to retirement, he owned and operated a shoemaker shop in Swoyersville.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eugene; and grandson, Gino.
Surviving are a son, Ronnie and his wife, Sharon; grandchildren, Mary, Sara, Kathleen, Sam and Paul; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Giada, Persia, Sammy and Giselle; daughters-in-law, Rosalie Sawchak Mullay and Sandy Bieber Mullay; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral for Sam will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Lehman-Gregory Funeral Home, 281 Chapel St., Swoyersville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, Bennett Street, Luzerne. Interment will be in Dennison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Family and friends may call from 8 a.m. until the time of the service.
