Kay, I was so sorry to hear of Billy Ray passing on. He was the first to befriend me when I transfered to the 4th grade at Alta Vista Elementary. We talked so much that we had to be seperated. Our frindship continued all through the school years but later lost touch as I moved away from the old south side. I am sure his kind nature continued through the years from what I have read from memories shared herein. I looked forward to possibly seeing you guys at our 50th get together at the end of the month. I guess that reunion will have to take place later.................An old friend

Young Family;

I worked with Bill at Piggly Wiggly on 19th. and Park Lake for several years, and then sold him BBQ when he had his Waco Meat route. He was a good man, and a good friend. He even stopped to see me about parking his travel trailer at my storage facility not long ago. The fact that he is gone will leave an empty space in my heart. He could always make me laugh.

I know that he loved you all, and my prayer for you is that you cling to the memories that you made over the years, good and bad, for these memories are what will get you through the days and weeks ahead. God must have had an urgent need for him.
