Parker Cope Obituary

Parker J. "Pete" Cope Jr., age 47, of Chambersburg, died on Monday, February 2, 2009 in the Chambersburg Hospital ER. Born on January 11, 1962 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Parker J. Cope Sr. and Rita Cepparulo Cope.
A member of Salem United Brethren Church, Pete's passion was the feeding the hungry and helping the homeless. For years he ran the food pantry at Christian Life Assembly of God. He is survived by his wife, Tracy Bonsell Cope, whom he married October 28, 2004; two sisters, Cheryl Smith of Philadelphia and Rita Lewars of Levittown, PA; two step-children, Shelby and Aaron Lawyer, both of Chambersburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pete's memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 6, 2009 in the Salem United Brethren Church, 4349 Letterkenny Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Rev. Arthur Page and Rev. Jason Bakker will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem U.B. Church Mission Fund at the above address, or to the Bountiful Blessings Food Ministry at Christian Life Assembly of God, 1400 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Online condolences may be expressed at geiselfuneralhome.com.
