John Capozzoli Obituary
Jake was born June 19, 1935, in Punxsutawney to the late Augustine J. and Rose (Fortuna) Capozzoli.
Jake was a member of Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of the Punxsutawney Country Club for over 60 years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and golfing.
Jake is survived by his best friends, Louise Deyarmin and Joel Anderson, both of Punxsutawney, and Janet Deyarmin and husband Carl Clift of Missouri; one brother, Anthony G. Capozzoli and wife Eleanore; one sister, Margaret Zahoransky of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Dominic and William Capozzoli, and three sisters, Teresa Capozzoli, Mary Louise Sawyer and Rose Victoria Whisner.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
The Ladies Altar Rosary Society will perform the rosary on Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church, with Msgr. Joseph Riccardo as Celebrant and Msgr. Charles Kaza as Concelebrant.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
