John Weaver Obituary
He was born Sept. 30, 1947, in Punxsutawney, the son of John S. "Pete" and Mary (O'Leary) Weaver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, James; brothers Joseph and Paul Weaver; sister MaryAnne Weaver; and sister-in-law Carole Weaver.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carol S. (Westover) Weaver; son Daniel Weaver, Pittsburgh; and daughter Elizabeth Weaver-Shonnie, and husband Brandon Shonnie, Fort Defiance, Arizona, as well as eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of Thomas Weaver and Robert (Rose) Weaver, both of Michigan.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
John was a graduate of Cambria County Area Community College with a degree in business management and employed as an insurance salesman with Knights of Columbus Insurance. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 2277, and American Legion Post 0945, Wormleysburg.
Family and friends will be received at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, on Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. Military honors will begin at 5:45 p.m. followed by funeral service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Fred Catchpole officiating.
