Thomas Wright Obituary

Thomas L. Wright, 90, of Knoxdale, passed away June 2, 2022, at Laurelbrooke Nursing Home.
He was born on Aug. 24, 1931, in Sagamore, the son of the late William and Mary (Ashbaugh) Wright. On Dec. 19, 1973, he married Dorothy (Anderson) Wright, who preceded him in death on Feb. 23, 2017.
Thomas was the former owner of Wright Trucking and Logging.
He was a member of Assembly of God in Anita, Brookville Eagles, Knoxdale Rod and Gun Club and the Brookville Masonic Lodge. Thomas enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping.
Thomas is survived by his three children, Tommy Wright and wife Deb, Rick Wright and wife WayWay, and Linda Kirsch and husband Wayne; three stepchildren, Allen Yates, Richard Yates and his wife Debra, and Nancy Yates; three brothers, Robert Wright, Ken Wright and Jim Wright and wife Shelly; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Thomas was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Wright.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, at the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Dan Cass officiating. Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park.
