Kathleen M. Burger, age 74, of Chillicothe, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at her home.
Kathy was born on October 22, 1947 in Pekin, Illinois. She and her brother were adopted and raised in McNabb, Illinois by Leslie and Joyce Troyan. She married Kenneth Paul Hepner in 1967 and he preceded in death in 1984. She married Grant E. Burger, Jr. on April 4, 1992 in McNabb, IL.
Surviving are her husband, Grant; her children, Kevin S. Hepner of Italy, Michelle (Donald) Wiley of Chillicothe, IL and Grant (Michelle) Burger, III of Morton, IL; her grandchildren, Heather (Josh) Benway, Ryan Wiley, Jordan (Eyba) Wiley and Kaelyn Wiley, Tessa and Grant Burger, IV, April, Taylor, Kenny and Shawn Hepner, Aaron and Michael Mann, Benjamin and Sydney Heberer; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Kenneth Ransom Troyan of McNabb, IL, along with another brother and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and one great-grandchild.
Kathy graduated from Midstate College. She was a Professional Certified Pharmacy Tech in Illinois and she has worked as a Respiratory Therapist and as a Pharmacy Tech for CVS. Kathy also was a Home Health Care Giver. Anyone who knew Kathy knew that she had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. Her compassion and kind heart touched the lives of many that she cared for and those people made a huge impact on her life as well.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 4pm to 6pm at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe with a memorial service held at 6pm.
