Juliet Chacon

1924 - 2021

Juliet (Cabrera) Chacon Jan. 9, 1924 - Oct. 4, 2021 Juliet (Cabrera) Chacon was 26 years old when she danced into the arms of Juan Chacon. Their honeymoon lasted eleven years traveling and going to dance halls wherever the music would take them. Their love for each other created a family including three sons, Martin, Andrew and Paul, who along with her caregiver Anthonia, all helped with her care as time moved forward. She made many friends being a lifelong resident of Wilmington. Juliet is predeceased by her dance partner, Juan and her parents, Daniel (Don Daniel) and Josefina Cabrera including her siblings, Raymond, Manual, Lily, Petra and Rachel. After High School she joined her mother working at the, back then, local cannery where later she became a foreman. While being a mother and housewife, she began a twenty-year career as a sales clerk at the Goodwill store when it was located on Anaheim St across the street from, back then, The Boys Market and Thrifty's. Early on when Juliet began her 64 years of marriage to Juan, they made sure the roof never leaked, food was always on the table and everybody had shoes. Family values they held close their hearts their entire lives. Juliet at the age of 97 is survived by her three sons, six Grandchildren, eight Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild. Including Nephews and Nieces who will sorely miss their visits and conversation with her. Celebration of her life will begin on October 24th, 2021 at McNerney's Mortuary located in San Pedro from 3pm to 7pm. She will be laid to rest the next day, October 25, 2021 beginning at 10 am in Wilmington at the Holy Family Church where Juan and Juliet were married followed by the burial at the Wilmington Cemetery.
