Paul Victor Saluzzi

1972 - 2021

May 1, 1972 - July 31, 2021 Paul "Paulie" Saluzzi was born in Staten Island, New York on May 1, 1972 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 31, 2021. Paulie grew up in both Staten Island, New York and San Pedro/Rancho Palos Verdes. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Miami and went on to earn 3 Master's Degrees. Paulie was an exceptionally intelligent individual and was knowledgeable on a multitude of topics. He was the ultimate conversationalist. He could (and did) talk to anyone who wanted to chat. He loved talking to people on a wide variety of subjects. Paulie had a wonderful sense of humor, sharp wit and was wise beyond his years. He loved his family, kids and animals, particularly dogs, and they all loved him back. A devoted father, brother, cousin, uncle and friend, Paulie was always extremely proud of the accomplishments of those he loved. His greatest pride and joy in life was his son, Joseph Rosario Saluzzi, whom he loved with all his heart and beyond. Paulie is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Saluzzi and Marian Saluzzi Mauro. He is survived by his son Joseph, siblings Christine Saluzzi Scarselli (Alex), Rosanne Saluzzi Duhovic (Jerry), Joseph Saluzzi (Louisa), Michael Saluzzi (Sheila) and Anthony Mauro (Kristal). He was the beloved uncle to Gina and Anna Duhovic; Lorenzo and Santino Saluzzi; Michael, Isabella and Olivia Saluzzi; and Anna, Jennifer and Katherine Gatto. He was also uncle to numerous non-blood related "family." He was Uncle Paulie to all. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021, between 6-8pm, at McNerney's Mortuary, 570 W. 5th St., San Pedro, CA. 90731. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday August 13th at 1:30pm at Mary Star of the Sea Church, 877 W. 7th St., San Pedro, CA. 90731.
