Scott Strong Obituary

Scott J. Strong passed away on September 3, 2023, at age 74. He led a fulfilling life, serving in the Vietnam War with the 101st Airborne, joining the Peace Corps in Ghana, and traveling globally as an HVAC technician and teacher. Scott will be remembered for his witty humor and selfless actions to change the world, one stranger at a time. He is survived and deeply missed by his wife Mei "Hidi," daughter Galatea, siblings Todd (Christine), Patty, Chris (Reenie), and Cassie, and cousins, nieces, and nephews. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to the Peace Corps "Drinking Water and Sanitation Fund."

Sorry to hear of Scott's passing. I worked with him when he trained HVAC students for IHACI. He always made his classes interesting & informative. He would chat with me and share information about his daughter, and how proud he was of her. My condolences to the whole family.

I don't know how we got there but sitting in his hooch listening to music made the war go away for a few moments.
