I've never met Ace in person but his music on the albums he made has had a positive impact in my life for going on 31 years now. It was difficult starting high school for me and that was when I found his music. It had such an impact on me that I still listen to it almost every day 31 years after I first discovered it. Thank you Ace for the amazing work you put into your music and the albums you were are part of and helping a young 16 year old get through high school into adulthood.

Hey Chef,

This is your old pasta cook from Zucca Ristorante in DTLA. Just discovered this page as your name ran through my head today. Think about you often especially when I´m cooking tortellini. That sage brown butter emulsion sauce that I finally nailed at Zucca is a recipe I will keep for life chef. Just wanted to say thank you for the lessons and your patience with me. You will not be forgotten and sorely missed.

I love You Ace. You will never be forgotten. I know you will visit us on earth. Pet Humbo and Chub Chubs for me..and all the others. XOXO. The best chef EVER! Really wanted to open a restaurant with him. Had a lot of fun and made a lot of fabulous food!

Ace was like a big brother to me. We shared so many good times together. There was no one who was kinder, funnier, or more punk rock than Ace Lafayette Still III. You only meet a guy like Ace once in a lifetime, and I'm grateful that we got to spend so much time together. We laughed, worked, cooked, ate, partied, and listened to endless amounts of music together. He loved my cat Rudy, and always put him under his shirt, and I always asked if I could have his cat Humbo. Ace had a profound impact on my life. Thank you for the memories, and my sincere condolences to his family and friends. I love you forever Ace, see you on the other side my brother.

Ace was a legend then, let alone now. He was truly remarkable with such great verve for life. Having lived together, we shared a common bond in music, tacos and the box set drama of our next door neighbours; of whom David Lynch couldn't even make it up to that level of craziness. A moment in my life that was so precious to me, made all the more precious by sharing it with such a beautiful soul as Ace. He left a profound impression on me, as I am sure he did to all that met him - I shall never forget his exuberance and spirit.
God Bless you Ace.
"Turn on, tune in, drop out".
Peace out Ace.
