Beatrice B. Owens, 98, of Woodhull, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home, Woodhull. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Andover Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hillcrest Home, Geneseo. Online condolences to the family may be left at www.petersonwallinknox.com.
Beatrice was born on February 9, 1926, in Morning Sun, Iowa, the daughter of Orpha Blair. She married Arno Owens on March 26, 1947, in Rock Island, Ill. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2015. Beatrice loved helping her husband, Arno, on the family farm. Beatrice enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, cooking, going dancing to live music with her husband, and traveling the country. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Beatrice is survived by her children, Linda (Marvin) Beard, Davenport, Tom (Gayle) Owens, Cambridge, and Steve (Theresa) Owens, Woodhull; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and five siblings.
