EAST MOLINE-Connie S. Sandoval, 94, of East Moline, died Thursday, April 20, 2023 surrounded by family at home. The funeral service will be private. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 4-7 pm at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Entombment will be private at St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Memorials may be made in care of the Clarissia C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf or Fourth Wall Films, Moline.
Connie was born in Silvis, Illinois on May 4, 1928, a daughter of Juan and Maria Noriega Segura. She married Tanilo H. Sandoval on June 26, 1948 in Silvis, Illinois.
Connie worked various jobs over the years but will be known most as a homemaker. She truly enjoyed taking care of and raising her family. Connie was also an opera fan.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Tanilo Sandoval, East Moline; children, Louis Sandoval, East Moline, Stephen (Virginia) Sandoval, Silvis, David Sandoval, East Moline, Susan Sandoval, Rock Island and Alan (Rhonda) Sandoval, East Moline; grandchildren, Craig (Emily) Sandoval, Davenport, Brian Sandoval, East Moline, Nicholas Sandoval, Silvis, Jonathan (Nichole) Sandoval, Marquette, Mich. And Matthew Sandoval, Aledo; three step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Theresa Castel, Davenport and Mary (Allen) Fordham, DeLand, Fla.; brother, Pete (Terry) Segura, Silvis; and sisters-in-law, Mercedes Segura and Eloise Sandoval.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Kevin Sandoval, four brothers and three sisters.
