MILAN-David G. Dahlen, 80, of Milan, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Preemption Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
David was born on October 30, 1941 in Rock Island, the son of Leonard and Lucy (Griffith) Dahlen. He married Karen Dean on January 12, 1963 in Rock Island, she preceded him in death. David was employed as a shipping clerk at Jaydon Inc. for 35 years. He loved golfing, going to casinos and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
David is survived by his son, Christopher (Jessica) Dahlen; daughters, Cinda (Bobby) Wright and Crista (Chad) Barr; grandchildren, Donald and Tim (Lauren) Corwin, and Bradley and Benjamin Dahlen; great granddaughter Mackenzie; son-in-law, Dennis Corwin; significant other, Diane Christy; siblings, John, Roger, and Carl Dahlen; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; daughter, Cathleen Corwin; and sister, Patricia Neff.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island, MICU for their extended compassion, care, and support while David was in their care.
