David Waldron Sr.

September 27, 1946 - August 8, 2024

David Waldron Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, at the age of 77 in Silvis, IL. Born on September 27, 1946, in San Diego, CA.

David proudly served his country in the military from 1964 to 1968. After his service, he embarked on a career at the Rock Island Arsenal, where he dedicated many years before retiring in 2006.

David leaves behind his beloved wife, Caretta Waldron; two sons: David Waldron Jr. and Gary Waldron; his grandchildren: Nick (Casey) Waldron, Steve Waldron (LeeAnn Marie), Chelsie Waldron (Dalton Adams), and Honesty (Von) Wells; his cherished five great-grandsons and six great-granddaughters; and his three siblings: Katrina, Roxie, and Terry.

David liked to hunt, fish, and boat. His adventurous spirit was also evident in his love for riding his motortrike. David also loved to watch football and NASCAR.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Jean Charlotte Miller and William D. Bowlin; his brother, Barry; and his grandson, Vaughn Cookson.

So sorry to hear of daves passing. I worked with him.for many years in final assembly. He was such a nice and caring individual and one of the few I missed when I left the factory area. Sending my deepest condolences to the family.
