Doris Jean Terry

May 4, 1938-October 14, 2022

MOLINE-Doris Jean Terry, 84, of Moline, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd, 6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL, 61265. Visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Green Rock Free Will Baptist Church, 918 2nd St, Colona, IL 61241.

Doris was born on May 4, 1938, in Guin, Alabama, the daughter of John and Elvira (Tucker) Tidwell. The family moved to Moline in December of 1949. She married Bernice Terry on April 7, 1956. After graduating from Hurly's Beauty School, she opened and operated Doris's Beauty Shop in the Logan School area for 40 years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, watching birds and spending time with family. Doris was a member of the Green Rock Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Bernice; son, Rick Terry; and granddaughter, Emily (Zac) Freymann.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Lowell and Larry Tidwell.
