February 1, 2000 - January 26, 2025
Eric J. Lange, 24, of Port Byron, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, in Hillsdale, Ill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2025, at Christ the King Church, Moline. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111 1st Street A, Moline. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery, Rapid City, Ill. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Alleman Booster Boy Football or Riverdale Jr. Rams Football.
Eric Graduated from Alleman High School and after earned his Associate's Degree. He worked for Porter Brothers Construction, Rock Falls, Ill. as a Junior Project Manager on his dream path to Operators Union 150, recently completing prerequisites for acceptance.
Eric was a member of NWTF, Pheasants Forever, and coached Riverdale Jr. Rams Football. He was an avid hunter scoring his first buck and turkey at the age of nine, loved fishing, and working as pit crew for his grandpa in the Ozark Mountain Super Shifters. It was always his life goal to keep the 1965 Chevell racing and keep annual traditions of Richmond, Minn. fishing and South Dakota pheasant hunting. If not on the water or in the tree stand, you would find Eric enjoying a cold beer with his best buds or molding the family together as the middle child.
To many, Eric was the kindest, most gentle, giving and faithful person. The best example of how to live. He will be missed everyday by those who were blessed to have had him in their lives.
Survivors include his parents, Beth and Steve Timm, Port Byron, and Gary Lange Jr, Rock Island; brothers, Joe (Emily) Timm, Bettendorf, Jake Lange, Port Byron, Josh Timm, Port Byron, and Nick Lange, Port Byron; sister, Addie Timm, Port Byron; nephew, Edward Timm and grandparents, Gary and Kris Klavon, Port Byron, Gary and Glenda Lange, Rock Island, and Sue Timm, Moline.

Eric always made me smile! I'm so glad I got to know him when he was young and then work with him as well. My whole heart goes out to all of Eric's family, friends, and coworkers because he was so loved and cherished, and he will be missed so very much.
