MOLINE-Evelyn Taghon, 100, of Moline, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, Moline. Visitation will be 4-6pm, Monday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline with a Rosary recited at 3:30pm. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church, GiGi's Playhouse or Family Resources.
Evelyn was born June 18, 1922 in Birnamwood, WI, the daughter of Robert and Emma (Wetrich) Stanlake. She married Albert Taghon on June 10, 1950 in Moline. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1990.
Evelyn was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Moline. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, walking and sewing, but most important to her was her family.
Survivors include her children, Nancy (Cliff) Fitzsimmons, Richmond, VA, Steve (Cindy) Taghon, East Moline, Mike (Sandy) Taghon, East Moline, Diane (Mike) Nemerguth, St. Louis, MO, Lisa (Mike) Cummings, Moline, Kristin Taghon (Craig Gunby), Barrington Hills, IL, Mark (Dawn) Taghon, Bettendorf, and Julie (Tim) Suter, Dekalb, IL; grandchildren, Jackie, John, Jordan, Taylor, Dane, Katie, Brian, Melanie, Nick, Janine, Romanie, Luke, Brianna, Michaela, Carson, Paige, Korryn, Madeline and Cullin; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marcie, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
