Over the years Gary enjoyed numerous past times. Beginning with his love of racing his 1935 Chevy Coupe at Cordova Dragway and being awakened in the middle of the night to race on Barstow Road, playing golf and fishing with his buddies in Wisconsin and Minaki, Ontario, Canada. Not to forget his love of storytelling of years past, watching the Bears, as painful as it was, and Illini basketball with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Janet; children: Barry (Tracy) Hoff, Rebecca Hoff, Elizabeth (Tim) Ripka, Andrea (John) Weel, and Sarah (Mike) Neff; grandchildren: Shaun (Jade), Gary, Michael, Olivia, Alexis, Brittany (Tony), Henry, Macy, Sunnie, and Elliotte; and great-grandchildren: Brent and Hayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Ronald.
May they rest in peace.
