Gordon Bibee
June 2, 1960-April 6, 2023
Gordon Bibee, 62, of Galesburg, formerly of Moline, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Funeral Services are 10 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. Visitation is Thursday from 4 - 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the ARC of the Quad Cities.
Gordon was born June 2, 1960, in Moline, IL, the son of William and Helen Bibee. He was born several months after his father died. His mother was a strong Christian woman who raised him with love and a belief in what he could do rather than what he couldn't. Life put many obstacles in Gordon's path, and he accepted them and moved on with love and cheerfulness. He gave love to all he met and, in return, all loved him. He was always ready to help with work and took pride in helping.
Music was Gordon's delight, and he could amaze you with his musical trivia knowledge. He also enjoyed exercising and was ready to prove he was strong, much to his nephews chagrin as he wrestled and tickled them. He also loved food and could not be trusted around the holiday goodies. But, most of all, he loved his family and reveled in family gatherings where he could perform with his puppets.
He will be dearly missed by his sisters, Sharon (Terry) Hodson and Mayda (Jim) Funfsinn, brothers, Bill (Karen) Bibee and Michael (Dee) Bibee, and several nieces and nephews.

I didn'no Gordon, but I did know your mom. She worked for my parents at Bocchi salads. I always admired her so much. She was a hard worker and very dependable and kind and I know she loved Gordon so much. Sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to your family.
