James Jacob Matthew "JJ" Crouch

James Jacob Matthew "JJ" Crouch, 5-month-old son of Jacob and Nadalee Crouch of Bettendorf, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2026, at Sacred City Church in Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will be held at Glendale Cemetery in Le Claire, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family.

James was born at 27 weeks with a heart condition on September 3, 2025, in Iowa City. He was feisty and such a fighter and was told on many occasions what a miracle he truly was.

He is survived by his parents, Jacob & Nadalee; sister, Evelyn; paternal grandparents, Matthew Crouch, and Kenlyn & Mark Thoensen; maternal grandparents, James & Jennifer Dailing; paternal great-grandparents, Ron & Linda Crouch, and Candyce Williams; maternal great-grandparents, Carl & Donna Dailing, and Rosalie Davis; uncle, Rylee Crouch; aunts, Grayce Dailing, Ellie (Conner) Gass, and Chloe Dailing, as well as numerous great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather, Kenneth Williams, and maternal great-grandfather, Errol Davis.
